Shalihotra’s Vets was founded from the shared vision of two passionate veterinary students who came together during their undergraduate years with a common goal—to provide world-class veterinary care to their native community at an affordable cost.
Before establishing the institution, an extensive survey was conducted among veterinarians and pet parents to understand the awareness, expectations, and accessibility of veterinary services within the region. Based on this comprehensive two-month assessment and an evaluation of the facilities available locally, a strategic plan was developed to enhance animal healthcare services and welfare in the region.
On 22 January 2022, this vision took its first tangible form with the establishment of a small veterinary clinic named Shalihotra’s Vets.
The institution derives its name from Shalihotra, widely regarded as the Father of Indian Veterinary Medicine. As a tribute to his invaluable contribution to veterinary science and as proud followers of this rich heritage, the clinic was named in his honor.
In its initial days, the clinic began with two examination tables and basic surgical facilities. Within a few months, advanced diagnostic services such as digital radiography, in-house hematology, and biochemistry laboratories were introduced.
Today, after four years of dedicated service, Shalihotra’s Vets has evolved into a comprehensive multi-specialty veterinary center equipped with modern infrastructure and advanced medical technologies.
Surgical Excellence: High-tech operation theatre featuring gaseous anesthesia and advanced cardiac and pulmonary monitoring systems.
State-of-the-Art Endoscopy: Upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, otoscopy, bronchoscopy, and laparoscopy.
Ophthalmic Procedures: Specialized treatments including cataract surgery and various microsurgical interventions.
Advanced Surgery & Diagnostics: Specialized orthopedic and soft tissue surgical services, organ-specific ultrasonography, echocardiography, referral CT scan services, and one of the most advanced in-house molecular diagnostic laboratories in the region.
Critical Care: An intensive care unit (ICU) fully equipped with dialysis facilities and 24/7 inpatient support.

With years of professional experience, the clinic is equipped to handle everything from routine check-ups and preventive care to advanced diagnostics and treatment for companion animals and exotic pets.
